Alleged 4-inch iPhone Photo Confirms Missing 3D Touch Feature

There are rumors that have been circulating suggesting that Apple might return to making 4-inch iPhones again. The device in question is called the iPhone SE, or the iPhone Pro, or the iPhone 5se, depending on which rumor you’re subscribing to. There have been rumored specs about the upcoming device, and one of those rumors has indicated that it will not feature 3D Touch.

Turns out that rumor might be true, thanks to a recently leaked photo obtained and published by Nowhereelse.fr (via MacRumors). According to the photo as you can see above, it shows off what appears to be the screen assembly of the phone. The iPhone SE is pictured on the left, while the iPhone 6s is pictured to the right.

The side-by-side comparison has revealed that the iPhone SE will be missing some components which is believed to be necessary for 3D Touch. This means if you are hoping for 3D Touch in a smaller package, you might be disappointed. However since the device is meant to be have the iPhone 5s’ price point, we suppose it makes sense that Apple won’t include all the bells and whistles.

In any case take it with a grain of salt, but Apple is expected to make an announcement some time later this month, so check back with us in the coming weeks for the details.
