If you’re thinking about picking up a brand new phone but don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars, you’re in luck. It seems that ZTE has recently announced one of their entry-level handsets in the form of the ZTE Avid Plus which will set customers back $114.99 for the phone itself, which we have to say is rather affordable.
This is also the successor to the ZTE Avid that was launched several years ago, but safe to say that the phone has come a long way in terms of its hardware and software. The ZTE Avid Plus will feature a 5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480. This is definitely pretty low in terms of resolution, but sometimes you do get what you’re paying for.
Under the hood, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset can be found clocked at 1.1GHz, with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage that can be expanded via microSD, a 2,300mAh battery, a 5MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera. There will be LTE support and WiFi calling, so at the very least you’ll get a relatively speedy phone for web browsing.
Like we said, the phone is also expected to make its way to T-Mobile where it will be available via the carrier’s online store or retail store starting 20th of January. It is also expected to eventually make its way to MetroPCS as well.
