With each passing day, we come closer to the inevitable release of The Division, a game that many have been waiting for a very long time. Ubisoft has started to confirm some details about the upcoming title, such as its minimum and recommended PC specs, and has also released a couple of trailers. It did confirm back in 2014 that The Division will receive Xbox One timed exclusive DLC and that has now been spotted at GameStop.
A promotional banner on GameStop reveals that Xbox One will get timed exclusive access to The Division DLC aside from marketing and early beta access. Clicking on the banner will take you to the store page for Xbox One The Division bundle, it doesn’t provide any more information about the DLC itself or the Season Pass.
Timed exclusive DLC means that Xbox One will get new downloadable content first even though this title is also available on PlayStation 4 and PC. Players on those platforms will have to wait for a while before they get the same downloadable content on their gaming platform of choice.
It’s unclear right now just how long this timed exclusive DLC for Xbox One will last, these arrangements aren’t really appreciated by gamers, and they certainly would like to be made to wait for a long time before they too can get DLC that’s already available on another platform.
The Division is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 8th, 2016.
