Waze Transport SDK Announced

Ridesharing services are certainly one of the catalysts in many economies worldwide these days, and it looks like Waze would like to take advantage of the situation by the launch of the Waze Transport SDK (software development kit) which will allow ridesharing partners to integrate data as well as features of their navigation app – making you get from one point to another in the most efficient manner possible, saving everyone’s time along the way.

Among some of the features that can be found within the SDK would be Waze’s ETA, turn-by-turn navigation and preferred routing, and the initial batch of partners that will make use of the Waze Transport SDK will comprise of ride-sharing transportation companies such as Lyft in the U.S.; Cabify in Spain, Chile, Peru, Colombia and Mexico and 99Taxis in Brazil.

That is not all however, as there are other industries that will also take advantage of this SDK, where they include emergency dispatch service Genesis Group as well as the parking company JustPark, with both of those being in the UK. Food-delivery service Cornershop that plies its trade in Mexico and Chile happens to be a partner as well. With more than 50 million Waze users worldwide at the moment, it looks like the app is about to be an even more indispensable part of life down the road.
