If you happen to be rocking to a previous generation LG G3 smartphone from the folks over at Verizon Wireless, then you must be stoked at this particular bit of news – the mobile carrier is said to be rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the handset, and this bit of information came about by a Reddit user who prefers to go by the moniker Jrdnram_98, citing that he has already received the OTA notification not too long ago on his handset. A screenshot that you can see on the right was also captured for additional proof.
<1--more-->This particular update would carry the build number MRA58K, where it would then increase the software version to VS98546A. Apart from that, it will also throw in Google’s latest security patch (for the month of January), but it looks like no one else on the Reddit thread have picked up the update. Is this a case of a Photoshop job, or a one-off thing?
Well, we will just have to sit tight and wait. In was said that some time before the year was over, those who lived in Poland and rocked to the LG G3 begun to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update, and Poland has more or less ended up as the unofficial test bed when it comes to software updates from LG.
