This is according to BlackBerry’s CEO John Chen who during a recent keynote presentation at CES 2016, reconfirmed BlackBerry’s commitment to expanding their Android portfolio. While he did not mention how many phones we can expect, he did mention last year that they might focus on one high-end and one that is towards the mid-range.
So far there have been leaks and rumors about BlackBerry’s next potential Android smartphone(s). There have been renderings of the BlackBerry Vienna that was leaked, which seems to be more like a typical candybar phone as opposed to a slider like the PRIV. There have also been rumors that there could be an Android version of the BlackBerry Passport.
In any case we guess we’ll just have to wait and see, but if you loved the PRIV and want to see what else BlackBerry can cook up, do check back with us later in the year for more updates.
