In November last year, T-Mobile announced a new service called Binge On, it allows users to stretch their mobile data even further when viewing video content online. T-mobile’s proprietary adaptive video technology stretches the MBs by locking the stream to DVD-quality or better. This way users don’t blow through their monthly data allotment as quickly as they would watching video in HD. T-Mobile has now added 14 additional services to Binge On.
Back when Binge On was announced T-Mobile said that 24 video streaming services had signed up to join this program and gradually more will be added as the carrier is working with 50 streaming providers to bring their service to Binge On in the future..
“Tens of millions of Americans are already loving Binge On—and video providers of all shapes and sizes are lining up to be part of this revolution,” said John Legere, the well known outspoken CEO of T-Mobile.
T-Mobile says that it’s actually expanding the lineup ahead of schedule by adding 14 new services to Binge On, which now supports a total of 38 online streaming services. Many more are planned to be added to the list in the months ahead. T-Mobile customers can already watch unlimited Netflix, HBO and Hulu without even burning their mobile data.
The 14 new services that have been added to Binge On range from Lifetime, A&E, History Channel to the PlayStation Vue Live TV service which provides subscribers with access to major TV networks for a monthly subscription.
