If you still feel like Star Wars Battlefront is a bit too “light” for your liking, you will be pleased to learn that in an announcement from Star Wars Battlefront’s Senior Producer, Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir, it has been revealed that the game will be receiving the first of several new content updates start tomorrow.
In addition to the Battle of Jakku DLC that was launched last year, the upcoming update released tomorrow will see the addition of a new map in the form of the Tatooine Survival map that will support Blast, Droid Run, Drop Zone, Hero Hunt, and Heroes vs Villains multiplayer mode.
There will also be the introduction of new Hoth-themed outfits for Luke Skywalker and Han Solo. Players will also be able to create Private Matches so that they can play more games with friends. The developers will also be introducing Daily Challenges and Community Events that will allow players to earn credits.
In addition to this update, more updates will be arriving in February and March, all of which are free to all Battlefront players. However for those more interested in DLCs, DICE also announced the Season Pass which will feature paid add-on content. This is expected to kick off in March with Outer Rim; Bespin that’s arriving in the summer of 2016; Death Star that is coming in Fall 2016; and the fourth expansion pack whose title has yet to be determined that is coming early 2017. Additional details can be found on EA’s Star Wars website.
