The Sony A6100 is a camera that we have been hearing about for a while now, and it looks like an official announcement could be close at hand. According to Sony Alpha Rumors, they have spotted a teaser posted by Sony China that seems to confirm that the camera is indeed close to being officially announced.
As you can see in the image above, it seems to show a very blurred image of a camera, and thanks to a digital overlay, it seems that the photo does lineup with the design of the Sony A6000. Now if you have been following the rumors, you know that the A6100 will not differ too greatly in design compared to the A6000, so this makes sense.
As for specs, we have heard the rumors claim that it will feature a 36MP BSI sensor, which is a huge jump from its predecessor which came with a 24.3MP sensor, but if you are shopping for a camera with a huge sensor, then this could be a potential option to choose from. Other than that, we’re not sure what kind of features and specs the camera could be packing.
One of the features of the A6000 is that it has super-fast autofocus, so here’s hoping that feature will remain (or improved upon) with the A6100. Unfortunately there’s still no word on when it will be officially announced, but based on this teaser we reckon we could be pretty close.
