Sennheiser Orpheus Headphones Set To Rock And Roll
[CES 2016] When it comes to the world of headphones, there are many different models to choose from. Thankfully, when we arrive at the higher end echelon of things, the choice becomes easier simply because one would be more restricted by price than anything else. Sennheiser has been an old hand when it comes to quality headphones, and their latest effort would be the new Orpheus, which will continue from where the iconic 1990/1991 Orpheus left off.
First announced in November last year, the Orpheus is said to surpass just about every other existing headphone system as it delivers the ultimate in reproduction precision, not to mention having the lowest total harmonic distortion which has been measured in an audio reproduction system (at least according to Sennheiser), exceptional spatiality and a frequency response which goes beyond that of the human’s hearing ability.
The quality audio delivered by the Orpheus can be attributed to an innovative amplifier concept which merges the advantages of a tube amplifier with those of a transistor amplifier. By decoupling the tubes in combination with the damping properties of the marble, it results in reducing structure-borne noise to an absolute minimum. The tubes themselves will also boast of high-quality patent-pending enclosures, where the quartz glass bulbs shields them from their surroundings. Why not give your ears a treat today?
