Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) Spotted On GFXBench?

galaxy-j5-gfxbenchThere are tell tale signs whenever you check out a particular device over on a benchmark website or tool, as the hardware manufacturer would more often than not throw in important information such as model numbers and the ilk, and the same applies to the Samsung Galaxy J5, or so it seems. Apparently, a smartphone that carries the model number SM-J510x has been spotted on the GFXBench benchmark test, and if one were to consider that the SM-J500 happens to be the Samsung Galaxy J5, then the handset that underwent the GFXBench test might be the 2016 model of the Samsung Galaxy J5.

After all, wasn’t it not too long ago that press renders of the Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) were leaked? The GFXBench figures point to the new version of the Galaxy J5 boasting of a larger 5.2” display compared to its predecessor’s 5” display, while maintaining a similar resolution count at 720 x 1280 pixels. Underneath the hood, there should be no changes at all, with the Snapdragon 410 SoC running proceedings from within, while the rear facing 13MP camera and 5MP front-facing camera should continue to be part of the deal.

It would come with 2GB of RAM though, which is a wee bit better than the 1.5GB found on the original, and accompanied by 16GB of internal memory with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in tow. We look forward to additional official information concerning the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016).
