At the Consumer Electroncis Show 2016 Razer has launched a new smartwatch that’s unlike most smartwatches that you will find in the market today. When it was developing this product Razer set to address many of the pain points that customers have with existing smartwatches such as battery life. Its solution is the Razer Nabu Watch which has two displays and two batteries.
Razer Nabu Watch is first and foremost a full-featured digital watch which fundamental capabilities like an illuminated backlit display, World time clocks and alarms, stopwatch, countdown timer as well as automatic phone time sync with Bluetooth.
Its secondary display provides all of the features you would expect from a Nabu wearable such as discreet notifications, fitness tracking and watch-to-watch communication. Aside from displaying notifications from the smartphone the watch tracks fitness metrics like calories burned, steps taken, distance traveled and much more.
The watch has a coin cell replaceable battery, one that you will find in every other digital watch, that provides a 12 month backup for the digital features. The secondary screen is powered by a rechargeable battery that’s good for seven days on a single charge.
Razer Nabu Watch will be available in two versions, the standard edition has been made from tough polycarbonate materials with Razer green highlights, it will be available later this month for $149.99. The Forged Edition has machined stainless steel buttons and a black finish, it’s available starting today exclusively from RazerStore and the company’s online store for $199.99.
