OnePlus Phone Certified In China With Snapdragon 810 Chipset

Last year OnePlus released two phones in the form of the OnePlus 2 and the OnePlus X, the latter being the smaller and slightly less powerful model, but it did come with a Snapdragon 801 chipset which is really nothing to sneeze at. However could OnePlus be working on a OnePlus X with a Snapdragon 810 chipset?

According to a recent sighting in China, it seems that a OnePlus phone was recently certified by TENAA (China’s version of the FCC) with a Snapdragon 810 chipset under its hood, along with an Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage along with a microSD card slot, and a 4.9-inch Full HD display.

Interestingly enough as you can see in the photo, this phone looks almost exactly like the OnePlus X, except in a different color. This seems to suggest that maybe we could be looking at a OnePlus X variant, or it could be the rumored OnePlus 2 Mini that we have been hearing about.

This would make sense as the OnePlus 2 sports a Snapdragon 810, so a mini version would basically feature a smaller display but pack similar-ish hardware, or at least that’s what we’re assuming. In any case there’s no telling if and when this handset will launch, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for it.
