We know that in the mirrorless camera front, Sony is advertising the heck out of their A7-series of mirrorless cameras, and rightfully so. These are full-frame mirrorless cameras which is really the first of its kind, so it is understandable as to why Sony might be so excited. However if you wanted an alternative, how does Olympus sound to you?
Thanks to a photo that was recently leaked by the folks at digicame-info, it seems that we have caught our first glimpse at the upcoming Olympus PEN-F camera. It looks like just like brands such as Fujifilm, Olympus is keeping to its retro design, versus the more slick and modern looks from Sony, Nikon and Canon.
As for specs, not much is known about the PEN-F at the moment save for the fact that it is a Micro Four Thirds mirrorless system. However some rumors have suggested that we could be looking at a 20MP sensor, but that’s the extent of what we know. No word on when the camera will be launched, but there is speculation that we could hear more about it on the 27th of January.
Take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you like what you see and you love the Olympus brand, do check back with us in the coming weeks for the details.
