[CES 2016] Towards the middle of last year, Olloclip announced the Studio case. For those unfamiliar, Olloclip is known as an accessory maker where they have made clip-on camera attachments for smartphones. What the Studio case does is take things to the next level by turning your smartphone into a more complete camera system.
Now it’s been about half a year and the good news is that the Studio case is almost here. According to Olloclip, they expect that the Studio case will be available in February but for interested customers they can go ahead and place their pre-orders via Olloclip’s website where it is priced at $89.99.
Unfortunately for now it seems that the Olloclip Studio is only compatible with the iPhone 6/6s and 6/6s Plus, so Android users and older iPhone owners are out of luck. Just as a quick recap on the case, like we said it transforms your phone into a more complete camera solution. For example it comes with cold-shoe adapters that allows users to add a microphone or a light.
It sports a kickstand to prop your phone up to watch videos. There are 1/4-20 mounts which will also allow users to attach a tripod, a grip, or handles, and there is also a finger-grip which improves stability when taking photos. As expected there is also a special cutout around the camera area where you can mount an Olloclip lens without any issue.
