Night Shift Could Be Toggled Via Control Center

night_shift_control_centeriOS has a Control Center which basically provides users with shortcuts to things like enabling or disabling WiFi, Bluetooth, DND mode, flashlight, calculator, and etc. Now it seems that Control Center could be getting a new toggle and that toggle is for the upcoming Night Shift mode in iOS 9.3.

This was spotted on the iOS 9.3 Preview page as you can see in the photo above. It seems the toggle is being placed next to the screen brightness adjuster, at least as far as the iPad is concerned. Users will be able to turn it on temporarily, or turn it on and leave it on until the next day.

For those unfamiliar with Night Shift mode, this is basically where the warmness of your display is adjusted to make it easier for you to sleep at night. There have been studies done in the past where it suggests that the blue light emitted from our gadgets can affect our sleep cycles, which is why in more recent time, companies have been coming up with ways to deal with that.

For example, we have seen OEMs such as Philips introduce smartphones with anti-blue displays, and we have also seen companies like Amazon introduce the Blue Shade feature to their Fire Tablets. In any case, there’s still no word on when iOS 9.3 will be released, but with all the new features, it should be worth looking forward to.
