This saves the user time from having to keep entering their password. The good news is that it looks like some of that functionality has spilled over to Android TV and Netflix is taking full advantage of that, as reported by the folks at Android Police who have noted that the Android TV version of Netflix will now support the feature.
However we should note that for this to work, you will need to have your Netflix username and password saved in Smart Lock either on your phone or tablet. If you haven’t, then you will need to enable the Smart Lock on your mobile device if you’d like to get the full functionality on your Netflix app on Android TV.
Like we said, this is a feature that will save you a lot of time from having to keeping logging in and out. If you stay with flatmates and you’d rather not share your Netflix account, or if you have children and you don’t them accessing your Netflix profile to view 18+ TV series or shows, then this will be a more efficient solution.
