Over the past year or so Microsoft has been very open about bringing its software products to rival platforms as well, we’ve really seen the Office suite establish its footing on platforms like Android, and the company is continuing with that mission by releasing significant updates for core Office apps which include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Multiple Highlight colors allow you to pick your favorite in Word, which also gets a smart lookup feature, which will let you get relevant definitions, pictures and more from the web right within the document. New sharing options bring the ability to share documents through QQ and WeChat and signing up for a Microsoft account is now simpler through the app.
For Excel you get the ability to instantly change how a table looks, more paste options let you past only a formula, value or format from a copied cell, see angled and rotated text, similar sharing options are onboard as well as sign-up simplification.
Last but not the least PowerPoint for Android is now capable of playing embedded media files in presentations, and it also gets the simpler signup experience as well as the new sharing options for WeChat and QQ apps.
All three Office for Android apps have now been updated and are available for download immediately from the Google Play Store.
