Konami has announced today that it has officially launched Metal Gear Online on Steam. The beta is done and dusted so the game is now available, it says that a lot of feedback was considered and a few key adjustments were made prior to the launch. Konami also promises that just like previous versions of Metal Gear Online released for consoles it’s going to keep on integrating new updates to the game to make the experience better and add new content.
Metal Gear Online is now available to all those PC gamers who own Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The competitive online component of this game went into beta last week however an exploit forced Konami to take the beta offline.
Those issues have also been dealt with and Konami feels that Metal Gear Online is now ready for public consumption, which is why it has officially released it on Steam.
There’s an added incentive for those who didn’t get to check out the beta last week. Those who get the game and join one match between January 19th to January 26th will receive a bonus 3,000 gear points as a reward, enabling them to customize their new character’s gear style.
Metal Gear Online for PC is now available via Steam.
