Could it be possible that one day iPads could replace laptops in the education sector? We’ve seen schools try to introduce iPads into the curriculum, and now Lynn University is stepping it up by offering iPad Pros to both its faculty and its undergrad students, with an approximate 1,800 iPad Pros to be distributed this semester.According to Lynn President Kevin M. Ross, “At Lynn, we continue to embrace new ideas and technology that allow us to engage our students, enhance learning and empower faculty. Our introduction of iPad-powered learning in 2013 has supported rises in retention and prospective student inquiries, as well as improved student outcomes.”
Students will also get the Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard to go with it, in which it will allow students to draft essays, complete tests, and put together spreadsheets. The Apple Pencil is also supposed to help facilitate the ability to capture ideas, jotting down notes, sketches, or diagrams from notes that they might have to take in class.
The University also believes that the iPad Pro is a lot more flexible and can be used in all fields. For example one student studying music claims that using the iPad Pro has made it easier to write down musical notes during flashes of inspiration.
