For the past few months, some LG G4 owners have been complaining about a bootloop issue but the company didn’t really take concrete steps to show that it would take care of the matter that seemingly affects a small number of G4 owners. LG has finally really said something about this problem, it has confirmed that the LG G4 bootloop issue is a hardware fault, adding that it’s going to repair affected devices.
The company has released an official statement on the matter, acknowledging that it has been made aware of a booting issue with the G4, confirming that the issue is due to a hardware fault that has been identified as “a loose contact between components.”
It further adds that those customers who are facing this issue should contact their local carriers from where they purchased the handset from or visit a nearby LG Service Center for repair under full warranty.
Those customers who purchased their G4 from non-carrier retailers will have to go to the company’s service center “with the understanding that warranty conditions will differ.”
In the end, LG apologizes for the inconvenience caused to some of its customers who had to put up with the LG G4 bootloop issue for a few months. Hopefully it won’t take long for them to get their units repaired by LG itself.
