[CES 2016] There are PCs designed for work, PCs designed for gaming, and there are also PCs designed for the living room where its main purpose is to facilitate the watching of TV shows, movies, videos, and etc. Now if you are looking to equip your living room with such a device, Lenovo has announced the IdeaCentre 610S that sounds like it would be a great idea.
Why do we say that? As you can see from the photos, the IdeaCentre 610S is a PC that comes with an attached projector. This means that you can mount the PC onto a wall or a shelf and have it project its contents in front on the wall or maybe a projector screen. The projector is capable of displaying up to 720p HD content and will come with its own 2W internal speaker.
However the projector can be detached if you’d rather use it as a regular PC, or if you plan on hooking it up to a TV or an external display. It can be configured to use Intel’s latest 6th gen Core i7 processor, and up to 16GB of RAM, 2TB of HDD storage, or 128GB of SSD storage. It will also be configurable with NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 750ti GPU with 2GB of VRAM, and it will also come with Windows 10 preinstalled.
In terms of pricing, it is priced starting at $849 with the projector, and it is expected to be released in June 2016.
