Netflix has a deal with Marvel to create shows based on its superheros that are exclusive to the online streaming service, two of the four planned Marvel shows for Netflix have already been released, and today it has confirmed that it’s renewing Jessica Jones for another season. Netflix has confirmed that Jessica Jones season 2 will arrive in due time, the announcement isn’t surprising considering the fact that this show has been very well received.
The partnership between Netflix and Marvel started off with Daredevil, the first show of that series has already been available for quite some time now, and was also renewed for a second season. Netflix has already confirmed that the second season of Daredevil will be released on March 18th, 2016.
Fans of Jessica Jones will be excited to find out that Netflix has confirmed it’s bringing back the superhero for another season, however, the company is yet to confirm when filming will begin and when it will be finally released on Netflix.
Netflix will add two more Marvel shows to its library, Luke Cage and Iron Fist will also arrive in the future, with all four superheros joining forces for a special mini-series called The Defenders. Rumor has it that perhaps a Punisher show might also make its way to Netflix.
