These are a pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones that will pack active noise cancellation. For those unfamiliar with the technology, basically this involves a microphone that picks up outside noise, and will emit a frequency to attempt to cancel it. This comes in handy if you’re in crowded or noisy environments that might distract you from your music, like on a plane, for example.
However JBL’s Everest Elite 100 will take things to the next level by allowing users to customize how much noise cancellation they want. Since active noise cancellation can be dangerous, especially when you’re walking as it might prevent you from hearing oncoming traffic, this feature will come in handy as you can basically turn it on or off by choosing how much outside noise you want to let in.
In terms of battery life, JBL claims that it will provide about 6 hours of playtime before needing a recharge. It is priced at $199 and is expected to go on sale in early 2016, so headphone buyers will want to keep an eye out for it.
