Several days ago, it was suggested by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that we could be looking at a H1 2016 launch of the iPad Air 3. Turns out Kuo might be right because according to the folks at 9to5Mac, they have heard from their sources that Apple will most likely be unveiling the tablet in March.
Both Kuo and 9to5Mac have been pretty good with Apple rumors and speculation, so there is a good chance that this could be true. Also given the fact that Apple typically holds an event in March every year, it’s not a stretch to think that we could be looking at new hardware announcements. Plus with the iPad Air lineup having not been refreshed for a while, it does sound like the perfect time.
Recently we have come across an alleged leaked schematic of the iPad Air 3. On the surface it looks like its predecessor, but then again there’s only so much one can do to a tablet’s design. However what was interesting is the schematic shows that the iPad Air 3 could sport 4 speakers around it, like the iPad Pro, and also what appears to be a camera flash on the back.
In addition to the iPad Air 3, 9to5Mac’s report also claims that we will most likely be seeing new Apple Watch bands being introduced, and also possibly the release of iOS 9.3. There has been speculation that the iPhone 5se could also be making an appearance, but until the launch happens officially, do take it with a grain of salt for now.
