[CES 2016] No, Facehuggers from the Alien franchise have not been modernized to end up with some sort of plastic looking carapace on the outside, minus the legs and flailing tail, and definitely no acid is involved here. Rather, what you see covering the man’s face in the image above would be the iDerma. This is a new initiative by Apira Science, the same people who brought you the iGrow, so they know a thing or two about medical science being condensed into gadget form. The iDerma is a facial treatment that you can carry out for yourself in the comfort and convenience of your own home, which means there are no more issues such as looking for parking, or even to have to fork out dough for monthly treatments that frankly speaking, do not seem to work all that well after a few years.
The iDerma will also arrive with a slew of modular masks – meaning it is far more than just function, as there is form to be considered as well. Different modular masks will cater for different functions of course, making you feel as though you were Iron Man for a bit as you “suit up”. This facial enhancing product intends to moisturize your skin and revitalize your face, keeping at bay those nasty crow’s feet for as long as possible, but make no mistake about it – this is no fountain of youth. Not yet released, it is tipped to retail between $125 to $250 when it arrives.
