According to the latest rumors, the device could be released as early as mid-April. This is based on a tweet by the famed @evleaks, who has in the past been pretty accurate with his leaks and reports. Unfortunately right now not much is known about the rumored HTC smartwatch, although we did hear that it could sport a round design.
There’s no telling if HTC will use Android Wear as its platform of choice, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they did as it seems to be the choice of many OEMs, save for a few like Pebble and Samsung who have chosen to use their own proprietary operating system. That being said, with an April release, when will the device be announced?
There is a good chance we could learn more at MWC 2016, which coincidentally enough was also when the HTC Grip was originally announced. Until we hear from HTC, we suggest you take it with a grain of salt for now.
