HP Unveils Super Thin EliteBook Folio Laptop

hp_elitebook_folio1[CES 2016] While Apple might have kicked off the trend of really thin laptops, other PC makers have since taken the idea and run with it. HP is one of those companies and at CES 2016 this year, the company has unveiled their latest laptop that come in the form of the HP EliteBook Folio, one of the company’s thinnest and sleekest laptops to date.

As you can in the photos, the EliteBook Folio is a very impressive looking device and it certainly looks like a lot of thought has been placed into the design of it. However under the hood, it is a slightly different story. The HP EliteBook Folio will feature an Intel Core M processor with the option to go as high as an M7, and is accompanied by 8GB of RAM.

Unfortunately this means that any hope of gaming or doing some heavy duty work on this laptop is out of the question. You could try, but chances are you might be disappointed, although we suppose we’ll wait for the full review to see how much horsepower this laptop really has. However the upside is that it does come with an optional 4K display for those who want such a high resolution.

The laptop is pretty basic and minimal as it will feature two USB Type-C ports and a headphone jack, along with a battery life rated for 10 hours. The laptop also features speakers that have been tuned by Bang & Olufsen (note that they are tuned, not made by B&O). That being said if you’re after a stylish and highly mobile laptop to take with you to school or work, the HP EliteBook Folio will be going on sale in March priced starting at $999.
