[CES 2016] Wearable technology looks set to stay, and if the industry has anything to say about it, you can be sure that there will be more and more new devices which will roll out to make our lives more convenient – sort of how the buck was passed to the smartphone some years back, and now the smartphone is passing over some functionalities to a smartwatch or smart band. Ashley Chloe might not resonate with some of us, but they have decided to unveil the first fashion wearable in the world that brings the functionality of a pair of smart wireless headphones to your wrist – calling it the Helix Cuff in the process.
The Helix Cuff happens to be the company’s flagship wearable that closes the gap between high fashion and that of functional form in the wearable and headphones niche. It looks like a fancy bracelet at first glance, and just like the Transformers, there is more than meets the eye, of course. It will connect to your music playback device via Bluetooth 4.1, and will also boast of noise reduction technology while featuring high quality audio.
There will be two different models available in the market – the regular one will cost $199 a pop as it carries the “Classic” name, while those who would want a little bit of extra bling on the side can settle for the 24k gold plated model that will cost considerably more – $299 a pop. Everyone loves to have a little bit of bling on the side, don’t you think so?
