Every single year, you will no doubt read of an incident of a forest fire happen somewhere around the globe – and in more severe cases such as in South East Asia, the open burning of plantations to clear the land has more often than not resulted in heavy smog and a thick blanket of haze. Firefighting efforts too, have been said to be hampered by drones in the past, so is there anything positive that can be done? The Green Eudemon Forest Monitoring System Concept comes into play here.
Touted to be innovative in nature and future forward, the Green Eudemon is meant to be placed within high-risk forested areas, and as it makes itself at home in its surroundings, the Green Eudemon will rely on its slew of integrated sensors which will be able to keep track of just about anything that ends up not right. In other words, the moment it picks up the presence of a forest fire, the Green Eudemon will begin to send alerts to monitoring stations so that further preventative steps can be taken. The whole idea is to reduce – and not eliminate, approximately 50,000 forest fires that occur worldwide annually.
As to how it communicates or is powered, that remains to be seen, but hey, concepts are supposed to be out of this world, right?
