Google shared, “Chromebooks have proven to be a good fit for education purposes. They can be easily set up to run education or language-learning apps. They’re automatically kept up to date with the latest features, apps and virus protection. And they can be configured and managed by a central administrator (in this case the nonprofits) to offer relevant programs, content and materials depending on the situation.”
This particular grant will support Project Reconnect, where this project will oversee education programmes for refugees, not to mention assist them in getting connected with their family and friends who might be far away, and hence having a Chromebook around would make this task a whole lot easier. Hopefully this initiative will help make the world a smaller place, too.
