Drone maker DJI has its sights on the retail world. Late last year it launched its first ever physical retail store located in Shenzhen, China. It measures 8500 sq feet and doesn’t really look like a retail store for quadcopters, it actually gives off a really cool art gallery-ish vibe. The company has now confirmed that later this year it’s second retail store will be opened and it has also released renders which show that the second store is going to look even better than its first.
DJI’s second 870 square meter store is going to be opened in Seoul’s Hongdae district. Spanning five stories the retail location will stock the full range of DJI’s consumer products. DJI aims to create a place for customers to come and see, touch and learn firsthand about its aerial technologies. It mentions that the store’s interior has been custom design to fit in with the company’s and Hongdae district’s vibe.
The store is going to include a lounge area where visitors can kick back, relax and view aerial footage taken via DJI drones. DJI pilots will be on hand in the customer experience zone to demostrate the various features of the company’s different products. There will also be a dedicated team of customer support staff present at the store to look after any and all issues that customers are facing with their DJI products.
The second DJI store in Seoul, South Korea is going to be opened in March 2016.
