However it seems that the patch is not without its fair share of issues. According to posts on the Diablo 3 forum, it seems that Patch 2.4.0 has impacted the experience of the game on consoles in a negative way. According to the thread starter, “As soon as I downloaded the patch I went into a t10 rift and my goodness it’s lagging so bad. When there’s density it’s terrible it’s even creating button lag. I only play single player because of all the paragon 10,000 randoms.”
The threadstarter seemed to indicate that this might be a PS4 issue, but then other forum goers chimed in and claimed that they were experiencing similar issues on the Xbox One as well. However it does not seem to be a widespread issue as there aren’t too many pages on the problem, at least not yet, so if you don’t experience any of the problems while on your console, you should be good.
Kauza, a Diablo 3 community member has responded but according to the post, it seems that Blizzard has been unable to replicate the problem on their end. “We’ve been unable to reproduce this internally so far, so let’s see if we can find a pattern and identify what’s going on.” This means that until Blizzard can figure it out, affected gamers will just have to wait or figure out a workaround until an official solution can be found.
