It goes without saying that Destiny has been a super-hit title for Bungie and Activision, one can understand that fans would be anxious to find out when they’re going to release a sequel. Both the developer and the publisher haven’t confirmed anything as yet but previous rumors suggested that the Destiny 2 release would take place in September 2016, but if a new report is to be believed, the Destiny 2 release has actually been delayed.
As previously mentioned both Bungie and Activision have not yet confirmed if Destiny 2 is even in the pipeline, let alone tell us anything about when the new title could be released.
Citing people “familiar with goings-on at the studio,” Kotaku reports that it was previously planned to release Destiny 2 in September 2016 but that’s not going to happen. The report adds that plans for Destiny 2 release are “constantly in flux,” and that it was only last week when higher-ups at Bungie decided to delay Destiny 2 release beyond September this year.
It’s unclear now what the new release timeframe could be for the Destiny sequel, but if this report is to be believed, fans might have to wait for a while before there’s any indication that a new Destiny tite is around the corner.
