The Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet that was introduced more than a couple of years ago, before receiving an update in terms of hardware just last year, is now made available for purchase over in the US – and those who are interested to pick up this tablet that packs quite a punch will be able to do so directly from the company’s website without having to go through any kind of middle person or third party.
It goes without saying that this new Dell model will be more powerful compared to the older Venue 8 Pro, where it will run on Windows 10 right out of the box. This Windows 10-powered slate will feature an 8” display with 1200 x 1920 pixels, will be powered by a quad-core Intel Atom Z8500 processor that has been clocked at 2.24 GHz, carries 4GB of RAM alongside, has 64GB of internal memory, and can be further expanded courtesy of a microSD memory card slot.
That is not all, however, as there will also be a micro SIM card slot and LTE connectivity support to boot, in addition to NFC capability, a 2MP front-facing camera, a 5MP rear shooter, and a USB Type-C port. The new Venue 8 Pro will retail for $399 a pop with Windows 10 Home running on it, although topping that up by another $50 will net you Windows 10 Pro.
