The Latitude 11 5000 computer is a hybrid and comes in two models, one of which will have added security for enterprise users, but other than that they are expected to remain identical in their offerings. Users can choose between a couple of Intel Core M processors, and up to 8GB of RAM. It sports a 10.8-inch Full HD touchscreen with Corning’s Concore Glass display. It will also support SSD storage of up to 512GB, a variety of connectivity ports that even includes the latest USB Type-C for those who are worried about future proofing.
However if a hybrid is not what you’re after, the Latitude 5000 also plays home to a bunch of normal laptops like the Latitude 12 5000 series E5270. This is a small and lightweight laptop that Dell is boasting weighs 1.49kg. It will feature a 12.5-inch display that you can choose between various resolutions, and Intel’s Core i-series of processors powering it, with up to 16GB of RAM.
There is also both the Dell Latitude 14 5000 series E5470 and the Latitude 15 5000 series E5570 just in case a 12.5-inch display is too small. Both these models will offer up 14-inch and 15.6-inch displays respectively, and can also be configured to be powered by Intel’s latest 6th gen Core i7 processors, and will support up to 16GB of RAM.
The upside to these larger laptops is that they will also be able to accommodate a discrete GPU in the form of the AMD Radeon R7 M360 or the M370, so if some light gaming on the go is essential to you, then this could be worth checking out.
