This is because they can now make their own headphones and a report from 9to5Mac seems to suggest that is exactly what Apple is doing. According to the report, Apple is said to be developing a revamped Beats headphones. These headphones will be cordless (read: wireless) and will come with their own charging case.
However their design is said to be similar to the Moto Hint, which for those unfamiliar are a pair of wireless earbuds. They are small, inconspicuous, and best of all, wireless. The report goes on to add that there could be a built-in microphone and a button that could activate Siri, and that it will be a more premium version of its current EarPods that are bundled with the iPhone.
This is in line with an earlier Fast Company report that suggests that Apple could either bundle new Lightning headphones, or come up with a more premium version, and now thanks to 9to5Mac, we have a slightly better idea of what to expect. Of course you should take this with a grain of salt for now, but 9to5Mac’s track record has been pretty stellar so there is a good chance they might be right about this.
