However it definitely sounds like we are getting close because thanks to the folks at Digicame-info (via Photo Rumors), they have managed to get their hands on what appears to be leaked photos of the upcoming camera, along with a list of specs that we can expect Canon to pack into the device.
So what can we expect in the EOS 1D X MK II? For starters it will sport a 20.2MP CMOS sensor with dynamic range improvement. It will have dual pixel CMOS AF, a 61-point AF system with 41-point cross-type, improved AI AF accuracy and motion tracking thanks to the Servo AF III+. The engine will be a dual DIGIC6+, and there will also be support for 4K video at 60fps.
It will be both water and dust resistant with built-in WiFi, built-in GPS, and a USB 3.0 and HDMI terminal. Take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully with these leaked specs and photos, an official announcement won’t be too far off.
