If you’re after a new monitor that doesn’t break the bank, and you don’t necessarily need to have the thinnest bezels or the highest resolution, then you’re in luck as BenQ has recently announced the GW2270. This is a new monitor from the company that will be priced at a relatively affordable $119.
So what can we expect from the GW2270? For starters its size is of the 22-inch variety. It has a resolution of 1920×1080 and a 3,000:1 contrast ratio. According to BenQ, they claim that this model has the highest contrast ratio of any TN, VA, or IPS panel the company has created to date, but we guess we’ll need to see it for ourselves to be able to tell.
The display also comes with a 5ms GTG response time, making it a decent monitor for gaming, although chances are if you are a hardcore gamer you might want to aim for a display with a lower response time. It also comes with a host of BenQ features like Eye-Care, RevolutionEyes, and ZeroFlicker, all of which have been designed to help with eye fatigue.
It’s a pretty decent-sounding monitor and if you’d like to get your hands on it, you will be able to do so right now.
