Is it me, or is there a wave of nostalgia washing over many different people? It seems that Atari intends to deliver the golden age of gaming in the near future with the unveiling of Atari Vault. Being one of the world’s most recognized publishers and producers of interactive entertainment certainly help to push their case, and the re-imagined PC title Atari Vault will first get a previewed at PAX South 2016. Atari Vault will see some of the publisher’s most beloved classic games being bundled into a solitary PC title, where it will sport brand new features alongside multiplayer capabilities.
You can keep your inner child in you happy with the Atari Vault, as it will include 100 iconic, fan-favorite games such as Asteroids, Centipede, Missile Command, Tempest, and Warlords, among others. There will be an upgraded user interface to keep up with the times, not to mention the inclusion of online and local multiplayer options, apart from Steam Controller support to boot.
At the expo itself, do also expect Atari to provide live insights and hands-on demos for the highly anticipated RollerCoaster Tycoon World, in addition to its mobile title that will be called Pridefest. This year’s spring looks set to be a very interesting time in terms of classic gaming.
