Amazon’s Echo is more than just your typical Bluetooth speaker. Not only can the device playback music, but it can help you with your workouts, and it can also read your Kindle books out loud. It seems that Amazon is putting a lot of work into making it extremely functional because it looks like it can now tell you about movies.
For movie lovers if you wanted to learn more about movies without having to read it up online, the Echo will be able to tell you about it. All you’d have to do is ask it. It will also be able to tell you information like when a particular movie will be available for watching in cinemas, what movies are playing tonight, as well as what kind of specific genre movies you can watch.
If you’d like the full list of commands that you can ask Alexa (the name of the assistant inside the Echo), you can head on over to Amazon’s website for the details. In the meantime for those who have yet to get their hands on the Echo, Amazon is currently selling the device for $179.99. Unfortunately it seems to be out of stock at the moment, with Amazon expecting a restock on the 28th of January, so you can go ahead and order a unit now if you’d like to serve one for yourself.
