Acer has launched the newest model in its Chromebook 11 line at the Consumer Electronics Show 2016 today, the new Chromebook brings a much more durable design that also features a premium nano-imprinted cover and blends that with robust everyday performance to make the new Chromebook a great option for those looking for an excellent on-the-go computing device.
“We know what our customers want most in a Chromebook are the attributes that complement the mobile lifestyle – great performance and a portable design at an excellent value – all this can be found in the Chromebook 11,” says the president of Acer Notebook Business Group Jerry Kao.
The new Acer Chromebook 11’s nano-imprinted pattern cover not only gives it a premium look and feel but also improves its durability. Acer has reinforced the model for commercial and educational customers so that it better handles extra-stressful environments. The top cover alone can take up to 60kg of downward force with corners capable of withstanding 60cm drops without any damage.
New Chromebook 11 features Intel Celeron quad-core processors with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage. Powered by Chrome OS it promises 9 hours of battery life. The Chromebook 11 has an 11.6 inch 1366×768 pixel resolution display with Acer ComfyView that limits eye-strain even after prolonged usage. There’s also an HDR webcam, two stereo speakers and an integrated microphone, aside from dual-band 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac Wi-Fi, USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and HDMI ports.
The new Chromebook 11 from Acer goes on sale in North America next month with prices starting at $179.99, it will be released in EMEA also next month from €329.
