This is why it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that over in China, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 has managed to sell out in a minute. The tablet was launched last month in 16GB and 64GB configurations and it seems that both versions were snapped up pretty quickly, so for those who weren’t constantly refreshing the page, chances are they might have missed out on it.
That being said, it can be argued that maybe Xiaomi did not stock enough units hence selling out quickly. While the numbers weren’t shared this time round, in the past the company has been known to move tens of thousands of units in minutes, like with the first-gen Mi Pad where they sold 50,000 units in 4 minutes.
Unfortunately for those of us living stateside, Xiaomi’s mobile products are still largely out of reach as the company still has yet to finalize plans to set up shop in the US, but we have to wonder if and when they do, will customers in the US be just as frenzied when purchasing their products like in China?
