I suppose anyone who has given XCOM:Enemy Unknown a go in the past would definitely have gotten hooked to the game, no two ways about it. Hence, it would not be too much of an ask to see that XCOM 2 should be high on your priority list when the game arrives, but the question is this – is your machine up to the task when that day comes? Chances are, the answer would be in the affirmative, taking into consideration how XCOM 2’s system requirements have appeared on Steam already, and it certainly does not set a very high bar in the first place.
Those who would like to join forces with the Sectoid would need at least Windows 7 64-bit, an Intel Core 2 Duo E4700 2.6 GHz or AMD Phenom 9950 Quad Core 2.6 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM, either a 1GB ATI Radeon HD 5770 or 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 or better, DirectX 11, 45GB of available space, and a DirectX compatible sound card.
For the Mechtoids, you will need a machine that has at least Windows 7 64-bit running on it, a quad-core 3GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, either a 2GB ATI Radeon HD 7970 or 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 or better, 45GB of available space, and a DirectX compatible sound card. Either way, one will require an internet connection for the Steam authentication process.
