The idea of being able to play games on our smartwatches isn’t new, but for the most part games designed for the smartwatch does seem a little bit constrained, namely due to the screen size and also because the hardware in smartwatches aren’t quite on the same level as our smartphones, at least for now.
However a new game for Android Wear devices has been launched called Tilt. What makes Tilt so unique is the fact that it is the first augmented reality game designed for smartwatches. Augmented reality has been around for a while and we have seen games designed for smartphones, but this would make it a first for smartwatches.
How it works is that by using your smartphone, your smartwatch will transform into this platform in which you will attempt to control a ball and try to move it around on your wrist without it falling off. The game resembles a real-life game that uses a metal ball that you try and roll around without it falling into holes, except this would be a slightly more hi-tech version.
While its concept is pretty simple and straightforward, it does open up the possibilities as to what kind of games could be created for smartwatches in the future. The app is free for download and if you’d like to check it out, head on over to the Google Play Store to get your hands on it.
