For those of you who know about Mario, you would be familiar with the variety of hats that Mario wears by now, not to mention having some of the more quirky Mario titles roll out in the past. This time around, it looks like German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz has taken a special interest in the world of Mario, having come up with an original Super Mario Maker Event Course which will be presented alongside a special costume that players can unlock for free. The course will be known as Mercedes-Benz Jump’n’Drive, where it boasts of an unlockable Mercedes-Benz GLA costume that will depict Mario in the driver’s seat.
The moment players unlock it after completing a particular level, they can then see it being part of their collection of Mystery Mushroom costumes. Scott Moffitt, Nintendo of America’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, shared, “Super Mario Maker continues to grow and evolve with new courses and content. It’s great that a luxury car brand like Mercedes-Benz recognizes the ability to create fun courses and share them with others.”
This is not the first time that Mercedes-Benz has involved itself in a Nintendo title, as the Mercedes-Benz GLA happens to be one of the many free downloadable vehicles in Mario Kart 8.
