I am quite sure that many of us are familiar with the buy-in clause of the Dark Side of the Force now – “Come to the Dark Side, we have cookies.” Well, it does not matter which side of the divide you would be cheering when Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits the silver screen later this month, as everyone is a winner with both the Light Side and Dark Side ice creams from Brooklyn-based Ample Hills Creamery.
The Dark Side ice cream has been described to be “an ultra-dark chocolate ice cream with espresso fudge brownies, cocoa crispies, and white chocolate pearls to represent the light still hiding in the dark, waiting to burst through.”
As for the Light Side, it is “a bright marshmallow ice cream with homemade crispie clusters, as well as a smattering of handmade cocoa crispies to represent the dark side still lurking within the light.” A couple of pints for each flavor is rather pricey at $36 for a 4-pack, where you will be able to place your order online, and shipping will not be through a drone, but rather via Fedex. This is a partnership between Ample Hills and Disney Consumer Products, and regardless of how the movie turns out, it is bound to leave a sweet taste in your mouth.
