<1--more-->Word on the street has it that the Exynos 8870 would be the chipset in question, but do bear in mind that this happens to be a rumor as at press time, so do take this bit of information with more than your usual dose of salt. The allegedly high-end chip claims to deliver lower clock speeds when one places it side by side with the Exynos 8890 SoC, and it has been said to deliver a single-core benchmark score of 2,000 thereabouts on Geekbench, as opposed to the 2,270 count achieved by the Exynos 8890 in a similar test.
Meizu’s brand name has cropped up as one of the possible candidates to see the Exynos 8870 SoC run underneath the hood, but until more time passes and additional information is revealed, we will just need to sit tight and be patient about the entire matter.
