Last month Rise of the Tomb Raider was released for consoles while it was said that the title would arrive for PC in early 2016. A confirmed release date wasn’t provided but a recent listing hinted at the possibility of a January launch. There appears to be mounting evidence to support claims of a January launch as Rise of the Tomb Raider now has its very own Steam page, that’s a big indication that the release isn’t that far off.
The Steam page for Rise of the Tomb Raider has now been published and it goes along nicely with the January release window that many believe to be true now. A couple of weeks back an Amazon listing for this title always pointed towards the same release window.
Rise of the Tomb Raider didn’t really perform as well as it should have on Xbox One and Xbox 360, perhaps the fact that it arrived around the same time Fallout 4 did can be blamed, maybe that compelled the publisher to move the PC release forward to January, this is pure speculation right now.
From the looks of it PC gamers will eventually receive the title in early 2016 even if it doesn’t come out in January, but PlayStation 4 owners will have to wait until fall 2016, since Microsoft has exclusivity for one year on this title for the Xbox.
