It seems that these days, Capcom is busy going about remaking or remastering its Resident Evil franchise. We suppose given how iconic the franchise is, which has since spawned many movies and cartoons, we can understand why Capcom would want to milk the franchise for as long as possible.

That being said, some of you guys might have heard earlier this year that Capcom was planning on remastering Resident Evil 0 to HD. The good news is that we finally have a release date to look forward to as announced on the Capcom Unity blog. According to the announcement, gamers can look forward to the game’s launch on the 19th of January 2016 for the US, and 22nd of January 2016 for Europe.

According to Capcom, “The digital title contains not only the fully remastered game, but new features such as an alternate modern control system and brand new Wesker Mode, where players can face the challenges of the mansion playing as the infamous villain of the series.” The game is currently available for pre-order for the various platforms it will launch on.

Capcom has also announced that gamers who pre-order the game will be able to access special costumes for some of the characters in the game (see video above). So if you own the PlayStation 3 or PlayStation 4; the Xbox One; or you plan on playing it on the PC, head on over to the respective stores to pre-order the upcoming title.
